Back in June of 2023 I had the thrill of being able to compose my piece Radiolarium for the 31-TET (microtonal) Fokker Organ and fixed electronics (premiere recording here). This instrument is simply incredible; between the manuals, pedalboard and MIDI capability the Fokker Organ provides listeners and composers alike with uniquely rich musical offering. Located in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ's Kleine Zaal, it is also possible to combine the organ (manually or remotely controlled) with electronic sounds from the room's speakers.
I am beyond excited to have learned that the piece will be performed once again, this time during the 2025 edition of MicroFest Amsterdam. Concert information can be found here:
